About the Role:

The part-time Program Coordinator will support the nonprofit's career readiness programs for underserved youth by serving as a liaison between the organization and the local business community. This role will build partnerships with employers, coordinate workplace tours and informational interviews, secure guest speakers, and collaborate to match students with internships and jobs.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop connections with local employers to secure support and participation in nonprofit programs.

  • Organize career panels, workplace tours, mock interviews, resume workshops, and other sessions with partner businesses.

  • Recruit business leaders and professionals to engage as guest speakers, mentors, and mock interviewers.

  • Coordinate student internship and job shadow opportunities by collaborating closely with employer partners.

  • Maintain updated outreach materials and communication with business partners.

  • Track data and feedback from business supporters and participants.

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to recognize business partners for their support.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field. (Preferred)

  • 2+ years’ experience in partnership development, sales, or related business engagement role

  • An educational background related to business will help with building credible partnerships in the local business community.

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities

  • Entrepreneurial self-starter comfortable networking in the community

  • Knowledge of the local labor market and business landscape is a plus

  • Passion for empowering underserved youth through meaningful employment

 

Schedule/Commitment:

  • 20 hours per week

  • Majority of hours weekdays between 8 am - 5 pm

  • Some early evening or weekend hours may be required

 

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Pay: $21 per hour.
